Every person wants to be loved. Not for their successes, not for their achievements, not because they lived up to someone's expectations — but simply because they exist.

Yet human love often proves fragile. It can weaken because of mistakes, disappointments, or circumstances. That is why so many people live with a constant fear: "What if they stop loving me?"

The Bible says:

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8)

True love does not begin with our being flawless. God did not wait for people to become better. He took the first step toward each of us.

THE GOOD NEWS:
In Christ we can find the very assurance Victor Hugo longed for. God's love does not depend on our past, our successes, or our merits. It rests on His mercy and faithfulness.

Perhaps today is the day to ask yourself the most important question of all: am I ready to receive this love that never ends?
